Kate Dobens is the creator of and principal instructor of the Two Day MBA program. She is also the founder of Business On Point, a business coaching, consulting that focuses on driving growth and profitability in small businesses.
With over twenty years of experience in business (corporate finance, venture capital and entrepreneurship), Kate brings a deep perspective on business and entrepreneurship. After earning her MBA from Babson in Finance she worked for almost ten years in a large corporate setting where all departments were fully staffed and any business operating need be it legal, finance, marketing, HR or even ordering lunch for clients, were only a quick phone call away.
In 2000, Kate left the corporate environment in favor of being an entrepreneur. She has four children and being closer to home with greater flexibility was key. Having started and bootstrapped eight start-up companies, she knows what it is like to function as her own HR department, financial management team, and marketing department, while at the same time drumming up business, keeping clients happy and emptying the trash. Today, Kate’s businesses gross over two million in revenue.
Kate has coached or consulted with hundreds of individual business owners and entrepreneurs, helping them either get started in or move their businesses to the next level. Taking the lessons from her own personal successes and failures and those of her clients, Kate is very clear about the common needs, mistakes and pitfalls of starting and running your own business.

In addition to her love of business, she and her husband are raising four children and trying to get to football practice on time.
